Lacey is a two year old Australian Shepherd that we adopted this afternoon! She has NO tail, which is typical of the breed. She is mostly white, with faint black spots. She has black ears, black nostrils, and one brown eye and one blue eye! a patch of grey fur rests on the same side of her face as the brown eye. She already responds to her name, which was just given to her a couple of hours ago. She has had her first meal in her very own bowl, drank some water from the community trough, and has munched two milk bones.
She has met all of the cats AND Peter, and went for her first evening walk. She would have happily gone MUCH further, but we had Pete with us. He can no longer even go around the block without having to sit down and rest mid way. She is happily wandering around the house sniffing everything, and trying her best to avoid Louie. He is the only one who hasn’t been very welcoming, hissing and fluffing up his tail each time he spies her.
She has definitely bonded with Glenn! She much prefers to lay at his feet this evening, periodically gazing up at him in adoration.
